Introduction
I have been tasked with making a piece of graphic design. The assignment specified, that I could choose what purpose the design had. So I decided to create an album cover for an 80's inspired song.
Inspiration and moodboard
When I had found out what style I wanted to go for, I began making a moodboard. The moodboard contains the style and feel of what I wanted to make. In the corners, are the colors of the color profile. Although I eventually decided to use purple as the primary color.

Colors
The main colors are dark purple and pink. Those have been chosen with based an analogous color scheme, with purple being the primary color.
The pink color works well as a highlight color, as it contrasts well with the darker purple

Composition
The text is crooked and breaks traditional symmetric composition. It works out since the triangle underneath ties it together. It is a dynamic triangle as opposed to a static one.
The background is split into a top part, which contains the sky, and the bottom which contains a grid.
